How to protect carpet from the ferrets droppings?

if you just put them in a secure play area and there is carpet how do you protect it so hopefully it does not get there messes and if you do have messes what do you use to clean the carpets messess what kind of product or if you let them roam around free what do you use. because i now if a place they have left a deposit they can still smell it i have heard. How to protect carpet from the ferrets droppings?
yes they will continue to go in places they have been before. I use puppy pads on top of those places, or you can use newspaper (I like the pads because they are plastic backed and won't leak into the carpet) or you can use a pad with a litter box on top so if they miss they go on the pad instead

As for the cleaning, make sure your ferrets aren't in the room when you use this and allow it plenty of time to dry. I use Resolve carpet fast acting spot remover. It has a very strong smell, but once I have used that I use a little bit of laundry detergent in hot water, dab the area then blot it dry with paper towels or a clean cloth towel. You'll see the urine get stuck in the paper towels. This does help alot.

Hope this helpsHow to protect carpet from the ferrets droppings?
Resolve carpet spray is good. They mess in corners, so you can get corner sized litter boxes at the pet store. They'll know what you mean if you ask. Other than that, ferrets cause all sorts of challenges, but mine is one of my favorite pets ever. They're SO smart and awesome.
