I have a rabbit and wonder if its droppings are good fertilizer and if so how is the best way to go about it?

I have a roof gardenI have a rabbit and wonder if its droppings are good fertilizer and if so how is the best way to go about it?
I agree with most of the sincere answers here!

I would how ever make a compost pile of pellets and lime and some sand and nitrogen to break down the poo a little.

I found that bunnies in a way are the same as Cud Chewers, they do re ingest their feed and that tends to break it down better. It is less acidic. Shavings are not less acidic so if you are making one big pile...USE LIME AND SAND....A LOT!I have a rabbit and wonder if its droppings are good fertilizer and if so how is the best way to go about it?
Put the poop in the garden or in flower pot with the dirt, stir with a hoe or gardening spade.there you are!!!
Bunny balls are wonderful!!!! Use it to prepare the soil before planting and also as a side dressing. If you have urine soaked bedding, be a bit more careful with that as it is higher in nitrogen and can burn if used to excess or against plants.
Only god knows
yeppers that is good fertilizer there u have to let i sort of ur get smelly i would get a garbage can and fill them in there wait some weeks then there u go some high quility fertilizer!

happy gardening!
Rabbit droppings are excellent..not too 'hot' ....just spread it around the base of your plants but not against the plant. if you only have one rabbit you don't need to store it or age it ....just spread as you clean the cage. be careful of urine soaked bedding materials tho..I would separate the droppings and just use them...if you are using cedar bedding it could change the pH of the soil. We used to dispose of the bedding and just use the droppings
Yes rabbit dung is good fertilizer. It would be best if you could mix it in a compost pile though
yes it makes a great fretilizer, I at one time kept rabbits and we used it for our garden, there is no best way , you just clean them out and store it in a big plastic drum , I had a large garden and just pilled it up and covered it over with plastic till it was ready for use , but as your garden is different I麓m sure a drum or barrel would be fine
basically any animal droppings is good just don't use any carnivore eating animal droppings. good rule of thumb is if they don't eat meat then it should be fine
It is a great fertilizer, but it can be pretty strong if you use it fresh. I mix it into my compost pile and turn it twice a week. It makes awesome fertilizer after working in the compost for a few weeks...and that also cuts down on the uric acid problems because that changes dramatically when it starts to break down.
Rabbit droppings make excellent fertilizer. As with anything use animal droppings in moderation, a cup of droppings mixed with soil will fertilize a potted plant for a couple of months.
