Why does our dog like to eat our rabbit's droppings?

Seriously, she'll follow the bunny around just to catch the poo. I'm just curious; it doesn't seem to hurt her at all, and the bunny doesn't mind. Thanks!Why does our dog like to eat our rabbit's droppings?
My dogs love guinea pig and rabbit poop. I dont know why though.Why does our dog like to eat our rabbit's droppings?
dogs may do this because when female dogs give birth they may eat the poo that surrounds them so it is a safer enviornment for the puppies. so the dog probably learned from their mother.

learned that from the show its me or the dog.

loveee it.

but i dont think that thats healthy for the dog.. so you may want to try to put an end to it.

I've found rat droppings in the cellar, is this dangerous?

I think I have rats in the cellar. My girlfriend and I rarely go down there, but I'm worried it is dangerous. We have water pipes down there, could they contaminate our water?? What would the symptoms of any disease be? I live in London by the way. Thank you!I've found rat droppings in the cellar, is this dangerous?
You should look online to check on diseases wild rats can transmit. This area is more for pet ratties, I can tell you all about a domestic rat. I know that the only disease that can be passed from human to rat is strep, but when you are talking about a wild rat, they get into trash and sewers, so are obviously carrying other nasty things that may make you sick. I doubt they contaminate your water supply, but if you are truly worried hire an exterminator. Just make sure they don't use glue traps.. those are very cruel.I've found rat droppings in the cellar, is this dangerous?
Well rats apparantly carry disease and they can also grow to be quite huge so you might want to get rid of them.....(although I don't really agree with killing them cause they're so cute).

But hey ho, maybe you should get a cat? If not then yeah, just google pest control in london and u shud be able to find a few places that could help.
Unlikely to gnaw through pipes unless they are plastic and this will lead to flooding. They can chew through electrical cable insulation which often zaps them but can also cause fires. You should contact local environmental health officer for advice.
Just means you got rats.
get some rat poison trays or powder packs and get rid of them, or call the local council for them to set bait
they might chew through any cables you have down their

I take it you're referring to extracting nitrates like sodium, ammonium or more particularly potassium nitrate from the droppings which are particularly rich in nitrogen.

    Will a leopard gecko be hurt if it eats a little of its own droppings?

    I have a leopard gecko and when he went to take a bite out of a cricket he accidentally got alittle of the white things that are on the gecko droppings in his mouth, wil this b a problem? thanksWill a leopard gecko be hurt if it eats a little of its own droppings?
    he should be absolutly fine my gecko did that and he is fine. As lond as the poop was normal he should regurgitate it or poop it out again. Thank you for being interested in your geckos health keep up the good work and always watch him when he eats to make sure hes eating normally.Will a leopard gecko be hurt if it eats a little of its own droppings?
    the ';white things'; is actually his excess calcium that he ingested, you dont need to worry about it. but watch out that the crickets and mealworms dont eat his droppings, it contains certain bacteria that, when ingested by the leo's pray, multiplies within the pray and when the leo eats the pray its stomach gets overloaded by the amount of bacteria and he gets sick. so clean up his dropping every day or second day, that way you will prevent something like that to happen.

    Good Luck!
    it came out of him so if if eat it again not a big deal but make sure shes not doing it alot she should be fine

    When Playing Golf, your ball lands in rabbit droppings or mole hills what is the rule for this ?

    and also what happens if you are having to stand in these types of objectsWhen Playing Golf, your ball lands in rabbit droppings or mole hills what is the rule for this ?
    Rabbit droppings are a loose imepdiment. It's basically the same as a stick or a leaf. You can move them out of the way. But if your ball moves in the process, it's a one-stroke penalty.

    If they are adhering to your ball, it's not a loose impediment. You have to play it as it lies.

    A mole hill, or the burrow made by a mole, is an abnormal ground condition. It's the same as ground under repair. Free drop within one club length of the nearest point of relief.When Playing Golf, your ball lands in rabbit droppings or mole hills what is the rule for this ?
    This happened to me in a golf tournament. The ruling is if you ball lands in a hole or anything that an animal created such as poop or a nest, it is a free drop with no stroke penalty.
    You will have an unplayable lie and you will need to get a ruling before you can proceed. Good Luck.
    Maybe a drop, I think it counts as a stroke, but not sure.
    Have to agree with John F.'s answer which quotes the proper rules of golf.
    You have to hit it from there unless there are any such exceptions at the local course.
    Those areas count as ground under repair, free drop.
    not sure

    What do mouse droppings look like?

    I found these small, black, things that look like the ends were pinched. I'm pretty sure they're mouse droppings, but I can't figure out how a mouse would get in! They were only present under baseboard heaters and in 3 out of 4 corners in my living room. Could another species have droppings similar to a mouse? I want to get rid of whatever I have because I also have a baby!What do mouse droppings look like?
    Before you decide on a course of action it is imperative you identify the pest! Look on your baseboards and see if you notice a ' grease ' line. Rodents do not see well and will rub up against the baseboard for guidance. They always leave a trail of body oil or grease from their coat of fur. If you see these lines, then you have a mouse or rat problem. I would not recommend the use of ANY rodenticide. The active ingredient in most is an anti-coagulant. The rodent bleeds to death. The problem is there is no antidote. None. All medical personnel can do is administer massive doses of vitamin K. Don't use them. Rat or mouse traps can work, but can be dangerous to small children, as these traps can easily break finger bones. If theres no children present in your home bait it with peanut butter, then put a marachino cherry on top. Rodents can not resist these cherries and can smell them from great distances. If you do have children I would strongly urge the use of glue boards. They work. Just put a marachino cherry in the center and be patient. Rodents are creatures of habit. It will take some time ( 1 or 2 days ) before the rodent will go for it. When the rodent activity has stopped( no more droppings ) find their entry point and seal them shut.What do mouse droppings look like?
    ~~You have perfectly described their droppings. Now you need traps and lay them around the area you see the droppings, as well as dark places and electrical places (like around you computer tower), TVs. I would use the humane traps with a baby, as the spring type traps could break a little ones finger. Investigate all around your house and look for torn vent screens as well as any hole they could get through (it does not take a very big opening, they can literally squeeze through unbelievably tight spots). Fix those and get rid of the one or ones in your home and you'll be mouse free. Good luck!~~
    Mouse droppings look like black rice kernels and rats look more like black tic tacs. Remember for every one rodent you see, there are 20 more you don't. Rats can enter your home through a hole the size of a quarter and a mouse the size of a dime.
    Sounds like it to me. Mice can get in the smallest places.Just set some traps with peanut butter. You'll get him.
    They look like a smaller black tic-tac......good luck

    Could bird (for example, parakeet) droppings be considered a hazard to human health?

    Hi. I have two budgies, and I love them to death. I know they're indoor birds, so at first I wanted to keep them indoors in our living room. However, my parents are worried that the droppings could lead to illnesses, so as a result, we keep them outdoors on nice days, and leave them in the basement at nights. They still get a lot of attention, but I still prefer to keep them indoors at all times. Could someone please clear up this subject matter for me, and whether my parents' theory about illnesses transmitted through the feces is true or not? Any response will be greatly appreciated. ThanksCould bird (for example, parakeet) droppings be considered a hazard to human health?
    Take them to the vet and get a blood work up. If they come back salmonella negative, you're good to go. This check can usually be done for fairly cheap.

    Usually, budgies are extremely clean and disease free, but a vet check is good for relieving stress...

    Hope it works out.

    Ok now for some intelligence... If you got your birds from the wilderness, yes you could possibly get ill from their droppings. We are talking about parakeets people!.. The seed they eat is totally organic which is as healthy as it gets. I have raised these birds my entire life and that's a long time... No. all they eat is seeds so there waste is completely organic and doesn't do anything
    Yes in pigeons their dropping's when breathed in can cause psittacosis
    If feces are not handled properly, then yes, illnesses can be transmitted. Psittacine pneumonia is one of the diseases and it can lead to HIV which leads to AIDS. Always handle feces with the utmost care - wear rubber (disposable) gloves and a face mask to protect your lungs. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and hot water immediately, especially after cleaning your pets' cage. Also see source article listed below.

    What do mouse droppings look like?

    I came home to see some black dots on my floor in my bathroom and in my sink (small and round like poppy seeds) I have no clue what it is....could it be mouse droppings? Do I have a mouse (aaahhhh!!)?What do mouse droppings look like?
    Sweep it up, do the required heebee jeebee dance (to get the itchiness out of your system) and take a close look.

    Mouse droppings typically look like black rice - and it usually has pointed ends (but not always).

    If they are truely round (spherical), it sounds like you had some seeds fall off of something usually breads of some kind. Are you planting anything from seed? Ask the people you live with.

    If you do in fact have mice, relax. There are ways of dealing with them:

    The most passive and least painful for them is a gadget you plug into your wall - it shreeks so high you can't hear it but it'll drive the mice out. They usually cost 20 bucks, but they last for years.

    The next option you have are sticky traps - you might be able to find a good deal on them at dollar stores.

    Tip - grab a chocolate bar that has peanuts in it and pinch off a bit. Stick it in the middle of the trap and push down.

    Put the traps against the wall and check the traps daily (although you'll probably hear them squeeking). Pick up the trap with tongs (to avoid getting bitten) and either set them free several miles from your house with veggie oil or stick the poor thing in a box and freeze it to death in your freezer. They hybernate and it'll probably just die in it's sleep.

    Next are the typical mouse traps - avoid these if you have small children, they can hurt their fingers. Set them with chocolate and peanuts in the bait, and against the wall. You may have to kill the mice if the trap doesn't do it, and just toss the mice in the trash.

    There are two more kinds of traps - poison or electric. Poison I suggest you avoid as they can end up killing birds you DO want around. Electric ones you can rent. Either way you're still tossing dead mice in the trash.

    The last option after all of these is poison itself. Usually in pellet form, but you can fumigate your house if you choose to. Avoid these if you have other pets, kids or you're even minorly fond of any of the animals in your neighbourhood.

    Please remember: poison doesn't stop with killing the mice - other animals eat the bodies / they rot and it gets into the water.What do mouse droppings look like?
    It does seems like the droppings very in size but the mice around my rural area definitely have small rice like droppings, they more look like little seeds. Across the country I'm sure the size varies of the seed like droppings.

    Report Abuse

    Mouse droppings look almost like pieces of rice except a little thicker and dark brown-black.

    Definitely not like a poppy seed. Not sure what that could be. The good news is, you probably do not have mice. The bad news, there is probably something else there.

    Hope that helps.
    What you've described sounds more like roach droppings...
    Yes you do have a wild mouse in the house. You should get rid of it.

    Lime will dissolve dog droppings. And stop any smell too.
    Not that i know of. Be a good dog owner and clean up with a pooper-scooper. There may be things in the poop (parasites you are not aware of) that can reinfect the dog after they have been treated for worms.

    Bird droppings are ruining my paint, any cheap way to protect it?

    My Focus gets nailed every day with bird droppings where I park at work, I've tried other spots but our parking structure is downtown and we only have a few, otherwise I need to walk way too far and I need to be able to park near work for health reasons.

    So who knows the top ways to protect the paint of my ride? and cheap because I wash her every other weekend and it's adding up.Bird droppings are ruining my paint, any cheap way to protect it?
    cheap wax could help, but I use a car cover to protect against the sun and other gunk and it does the job. I've got some old rides that I keep in show condition so I gotta cover them. Some covers can be a pain and annoying to take on and off but this is what I use on all three rides, inexpensive too:

    http://www.autoanything.com/car-covers/60A1516A0A0.aspxBird droppings are ruining my paint, any cheap way to protect it?
    Wash the bird droppings off as soon as you get home every day. Use a rag damp with water, and just wash the droppings spots. Be sure to get all the droppings. Wax your car with a good cleaner wax at least every month. You might have luck with a couple of strips of reflective mylar tied to your antenna (this scares birds away if there's a slight breeze.) Or try the plastic horned owl.
    Sure it's always the birds fault.
    PAM cooking spray works well for keeping love bugs off my paint you may want to give it a try.
    Dont park under trees?

    A car cover?

    Covered parking?

    Force field?
    Use a high grade wax. Not necessarily cheap, but cheaper than a new paint job. Clean it off as soon as possible, and use a car cover if it is a major problem. Again, not necessarily cheap! Are you parking under a tree or a powerline?
    Are the birds in trees or on buildings over/around your car? Are they pigeons? You can buy a cheap owl ';scare-pigeon'; from home depot or that kind of place to scare off the birds. You can put it on your car or ask the business owners to install it on their building. If they won't, then tell them you will have to report them to the city as a public nusaince and charge them for the repairs of your car.
    A car cover.
    we have the same problem, we park under a tree . i would wash it every other day, because there is acid in the birds crap that will eat your paint. or you could buy a car cover. good luck!
    a pellet gun- and FUN too.

    Pigeon breeders, my pigeons droppings are green is that normal?

    Hi there, if you are a pigeon breeder , would you happen to know if green droppings are a serious health issue? what can i do to to help my bird , he gets plenty of sunshine , daily clean water, i use newspaper in the cage and change it daily, and he allways has fresh pigeon mix, he is looking very healthy and is very active , what do you think?Pigeon breeders, my pigeons droppings are green is that normal?
    There is nothing wrong with your bird !!!

    Green poop is quite normal,this could be a number of things birds do not urinate as a separate function it is included in their droppings and that is why your birds could be green ,also does it have acces to green veg,(which it should)as this can also be the reason.

    So their is nothing to worry about.

    Feel free to come back for any more info.Pigeon breeders, my pigeons droppings are green is that normal?
    Yes, it is normal i am a Pigeon breeder and so is my father and my pigeons do green poop as well. If he/she is looking healthy active and looks normal then there is nothing wrong. If you are still concerned then i advise you to take him/her to a vet to check it up.

    Don't worry i had a pigeon once who used to poop Out undigested seed. All it took was a trip to the vet and some medication.
    the green tinge is ammonia present in their waste. most birds poop ranges from clear, to white, to yellow, to green. its not a specific problem, it could mean that your bird doesnt drink enough water, but its not a serious issue unless you notice he starts not drinking at all, or if he stops eating
    Depends on what you feed him/her. Just make sure its consistent. Take the bird to your vet
    Paul, This is interesting. Fantails don't just fly freely in most places. This bird may be from ...

    If the neighbor won't let you cut down the whole tree you may have to file a grievance at your city hall. Check and see what their policies are on trees on the property line.

    Other than that I would just put a heavy coat of wax on my vehicles and maybe think about investing in a tarp or cover for them.

    What should be the color of an african grey's droppings and urea?

    I used to have an African Grey and his droppings were usually white with black and green and some yellow in them..What should be the color of an african grey's droppings and urea?
    There should be:

    clear liquid (urine)

    creamy white urates

    green to brown fecal matter (poop)

    The ';poop'; can vary widely in colour depending on what he's been eating. It can be bright green when eating a lot of green vegies, to brown when eating uncoloured pellets, to any colour of the rainbow if eating coloured pellets.

    For this reason, and others, I don't recommend feeding a bird coloured pellets. It makes it difficult to tell if anything is wrong. Your Grey's droppings are your first indicator of their health status, so keeping them away from artificial colours is best for them and you.What should be the color of an african grey's droppings and urea?
    They are usually green with white but it matters what they have ate. If they eat something other than their usually diet it could be different color. If you feed them something salty it could be watery because it makes them thirsty. Don't feed them something salty it's not good for them.
    Mostly green with some white. As previously stated, it can depend on what they eat. One day, my Macaw decided to eat only her RED pellets.

    It wasn't pretty...

    I don't think the amount of droppings is anything to worry about just yet. Keep a close eye on your budgie and see if he starts eating and pooping. If the situation keeps up, then a trip to the vet is in order.

    Your budgie sounds like he may have gotten his toe caught in something like a toy. If his nails are too long, he's going to have trouble perching and will catch his nails in toys and other materials. I would get the budgie's nails trimmed as soon as you can. You can go to a petshop and they will trim the nails for you if you don't want to go to the vet or don't know how to do it yourself.My budgie no droppings and nail going upward?
    Nails are overgrown so it's growing upward.

    As soon as possible to do a pet store where they can trim the nails or the vet.

    Droppings might vary once in a while. Overall, the bird might be ok. However, if the tail is going up and the bird is straining when he goes poop then the bird might be constipated.

    Continue to keep an eye while you get the bird's nails done. Depending on the bird this should be done atleast once in 2-3 months.
    hes nails should be short so you really need to get them cut any pet store will do it.its not good when dont eat so i would get him checked right away as budgies try hide any illness and by then it could be too late.good luck

    What do flea droppings look like?

    I'm taking my cat to the vet Friday to get treated for possible fleas, and also for being lethargic and barely eating anything (just licking).

    Anyways, I was just wondering what flea droppings look like? I found these darkish brown specks on my cat that is curved and looks like the letter C. Are these flea droppings? My cat never scratches himself and seems to have lost the interest to groom himself as he used to.

    And if you can answer, is it possible for fleas (or what they carry or do) cause your cat to lose it's appetite and be lethargic?What do flea droppings look like?
    Flea droppings literally look like little specs of black or dark brown dirt. I'm not sure what you mean by ';curved and looks like the letter C';, but what you found is likely flea dirt.

    Fleas can carry various diseases that can make a cat sick and some can also be transmitted to humans. A loss in appetite is never a good thing, so I'm glad your kitty is on the way to the vets office.

    Good luckWhat do flea droppings look like?
    A lot of people call it flea dirt because it really looks a lot like dirt. If it is fleas your cat might be anemic. You can check its gums to see if this might be a problem. If your cats gums are white I suggest you go to the vet right away. There are many things that could cause the lack of appetite and lethargy. A vet can best determine what the problem is
    yes, the curvy things are flea droppings. It's that color because it's dried blood. While you are at the vet, get your cat treated for worms because she may have those from the fleas.
    As the other people have answered, flea ';droppings'; look like grains of dirt.

    The things that you say are shaped like a ';c';. Are these under the skin or clearly on top? If they are under the skin they could be worms (ring?).

    The lethargy could be more likely to be from a worm infestation of the gut. Have you done a worming treatment on your cat? An infestation of fleas is more likely to cause your cat discomfort - continual scratching, possible hair loss if left to develop (ie, mange).

    I would get the cat to the vet asap to be checked over and to possibly have a blood test (if needed).

    Good luck
    Hi, sorry your cat isn't feeling too well please take a look at this link i found, it will answer your questions and uses pictures to show you what flea droppings look like.

    Good Luck at the vets.....
    Flea dropping are small brown or black round pellets. They get matted in the hair and can actually kill an animal from the sheer amount of germs in them. Im not sure what you found on your cat, best thing to do is just ask the vet.
    It looks like pepper and will turn a rust color when you wet it with water. Flea poop is full of the host animals blood and causes the rust color.
    Here is a pic, and yes it does look somewhat like a C in some of it.

    Throw them in the trash.

    Unless you also want to compost or something.

    I don't know anything about that.What do you do with pet sheep droppings?
    Use the dropping in your garden the plants love it!
    Sheep and Goats are very cute, and make pellet-ersized fertilizer.

    Just sweep or rake the dried droppings, if they are wet, its spread on the soil. You can then either put them in a large bucket and hose it down to make liquid fertilizer, excellent when you also want to water the grass or plants.

    Dry out in the sun and sprinkle over plants and in paddock and just scatter around paddock.

    Yes, roses are like sweets to goats, sheep and horses! And we all now sweets are goods for you! Dont' feed too much green feed, which causes scouwers or the runs, as it smells and is dredful to clean up.

    If you feed a variety of foods, e.g. veggies, fruit and grass, the plants will love it and so will the sheepy! Just be carful, some freui and veg may be poisonous, im pretty sure watermelon is, but doa little reasuearch to be sure.

    I have a big mouse problem at work. Even with a trap, the mouse are not caught. But the droppings are there.?

    Where I am working , used to be a warehouse. There were so many cracks and I am still filling them. There are still mouse around and they are not caught in the traps which I set up. I have used many different types, and used either cheese or penaunt butter. The droppings are still there,sometimes very close to the trap, but the mouse is still not caught.

    Any suggestions?I have a big mouse problem at work. Even with a trap, the mouse are not caught. But the droppings are there.?
    The glue traps are the best, the kind that are just a flat piece of cardboard with the glue on top of them. Put them near where you see their little poops, in corners, along walls. Then you know where they are when the die because they really stink. Don't touch them they can have hauntavirus. I saw one and I put out traps. Before it was all said and done I had caught about 15.

    The bait that comes in little yellow squares works well also because you can see when they eat it, and they will eat it.I have a big mouse problem at work. Even with a trap, the mouse are not caught. But the droppings are there.?
    Mice are allergic to ';Oil of Peppermint'; and will not frequent a property where they can smell it. Put a few drops on a piece of cotton and place anywhere you see the mouse problem. You will never see them again. Use real ';oil of peppermint';, not the extract kind. They are also repelled by camphor and pine tar, but ';oil of peppermint'; is the best solution.

    ~~~(O8:%26gt; ...(squeak...let's get outta here!)
    If you have one mouse you probably have a dozen and they breed very quickly. Also being a former warehouse that is like mouse heaven. You may want to consult a pest control company for poison pellets as a method for elimination. Not to be considered if you have any domestic animals at work such as cats or dogs as they too would be poisoned. One other option is a sticky plate. It is peanut butter scented and traps the animal with a glue they cannot walk off of. The downside to this method is they do not generally die and you have to drown them, and they will chew their own feet off in order to attempt to escape. I do not envy you as it is a gruesome task no matter what you do. I wish you luck.
    sounds like you have new friends.
    It's kind of gross, but try using sticky traps. You can buy them at any hardware store, and they are basically a little box with really strong glue in them. The glue has a smell, usually peanut butter, which is quite noticeable. The mice go in, but their feet get stuck, and they cannot get back out.
    The fact that you are talking about cheese and peanut butter makes me think you are using spring traps, and those don't work as well as the sticky ones. We were surrounded by open fields at the house where we used to live, and we would get mice often in wintertime, and sometimes in summer, too, if it was really hot. They would come in seeking shelter from extreme weather. I was sitting in the dining room one night, and I kept hearing the traps going off, and in the morning I told my husband he'd have to collect the dead mice and dispose of them, but there wasn't one dead mouse. I guess sometimes they use their paws to get at the bait, rather than hopping on the trap, and if the trap goes off, they don't get hurt.
    With sticky traps, you do need to check them every day. You will need to either kill the mice, or release them from the traps a long way from your work. It's kind of hard to get them off, but if you want to not kill them, you can open up the trap, and then pour a bit of cooking oil on their feet and bellies, and usually you can help them get unstuck and they will run off. Alternately, you can kill them (which I have never had the guts to do). Just be sure if you use sticky traps that you check them regularly, because the mice will die if you leave them in there too long, and they smell funky pretty quickly.
    I hope this helps!
    I've had great success with this trap in my house:
    http://veganstore.com/index.html?stocknu鈥?/a>
    It鈥檚 also available for $2 cheaper here (although I prefer to buy it from the other place since I鈥檓 not a big fan of PETA):
    https://www.petacatalog.org/prodinfo.asp鈥?/a>
    I've caught over ten mice with it so far and it can be used over and over indefinitely. Or, you can try making the free homemade humane trap described here:
    http://www.helpinganimals.com/wildlife_l鈥?/a>
    If you do live trap mice, please be sure to check the traps several times a day and release the mice promptly, approximately a mile away from your home. It is much more cruel to allow a mouse in a live trap to slowly starve to death than to kill it quickly with a snap trap. When you release the mice, do it in an area with some sheltering bushes or plants.
    The absolute cruelest traps are glue traps. Mice have been known to gnaw off their own limbs and tear off their skin in an effort to escape, as they starve or dehydrate to death or suffocate in the glue. It can take three to five days for them to die. Poison isn't any better, as the mice die slowly and painfully from internal bleeding. It can take up to a week for them to die, and then they smell as they rot behind your walls.
    It doesn't take much extra effort to be kind. You will feel better and so will the mice! Good luck!
    Decon sold at grocery and hardware stores. Place opened boxes around the perimeter of the area. Mice eat the blue pellets, become severly dehydrated, die and dry up with no smell.
    I use the snap their neck traps and i use cheese or peanut butter. They work for me. Put the traps close to edges. Mice seem to like to follow edges of boards or wall or joists. You get the picture.
    rat poison can be purchased in a box with an opening the mice eat it get sick wander outside and die other mice then eat them and die
    I fear that until you can close every whole that they can get in and out that you will have the problem. Having just gotten rid of mine, I simply say just a couple glue traps are never enough. Although they do not see as well as humans they can see and avoid just a few traps. I did not get rid of them until I bought a bunch. I had a small counter between my fridge and sink. They would climb the back of the fridge and get water from the sink. I had 4 rows (28 total) of glue traps covering the entire counter. They always got caught in the middle rows.
    Also pick more than just 1 spot. They are hunting for food and drink. I used several spots around the house that I found droppings. It seemed like they could jump or walk over 1 or 2 rows of traps. 3 that I caught did not get stuck until after they ate or drank.
    You may have some very smart mice or large rats that are too big for mouse traps.
    We used glue trays with peanut butter for bait.
    The link below shows different traps and how to position them for best results.
    ahem....%26lt;clears throat%26gt;
    As Directer and Chief of Poop-scooping for our aviary I feel qualified to answer this.....
    You can't. Well, not completely.
    If the wood has been treated and sealed, you can use very warm water and an anti-bactorial dish soap. If it's built up a lot you are gonna have a difficult time scraping it off without damaging the wood. So you will be disolving it off slowly.
    If the wood is untreated, the droppings will get into the grain. By adding water you only force it in farther. This is why it's recommend that you replace wood perches inside the bird cage.
    You do not need a full body bio-suit, resperator, or EPA permit to remove bird droppings. Your domesticated birds live in (I hope) a clean, germ free environment. Therefore they are not exposed to diseases that wild birds sometimes carry, and there is nothing dangerous about their droppings.
    For the record, most problems related with bird droppings occur after they have dried, turned powdery, and become airborn. And since you don't leave your bird droppings laying around that long ...(you don't, do you?)...there won't be a problem.
    In the future, if you must have your bird in an area exposed to wood, you should try to prepare and seal it as best you can. Sapphyre's idea of Orange Oil or Pledge works well.
    I'd be more worried about the bird chewing up the wood, wouldn't you?
    I guess I am the only one who read the question right, I know you would never want to use a pressure washer in the house, I know I wouldnt want to. I have woodwork in my house and I have had to clean it thanks to my birds, what I do it I use some warm water and dish soap, once you get it all off dry the wood really good with a towel, now what I will usually do after that is I will use the Pledge Orange Oil. Makes the wood look really good.
    What are the POLITCAL effects of the atomic bomb droppings in Japan?? I can't find anything relevant!?
    well if you mean how it helped end the war?
    well the funny thing is that history doesnt say the real truth.
    Japan was ready to surrender, but their government wasnt sure how to go about doing so, on the day the bombs were dropped.
    After it was over they just gave up and out right surrendered.
    After that
    Russia, The United States, Britian, and several other countries became interested in keeping a nuclear stockpile. For 40+ years this would become and stay the biggest threat which still exists today.What are the POLITCAL effects of the atomic bomb droppings in Japan?? I can't find anything relevant!?
    Political effects would be that Japan surrendered shortly thereafter and became a puppet of America. America oversaw the treaty, forced them not to have a military as America would protect them and put bases in Japan, and they had to adopt a Western constitution. This has caused a pacifist country so it dictates their foreign relations. There is controversy as Japan has self defense forces and some were sent to Iraq (not a pacifist act). As for the Japanese who grew up post-WW2, there was a love of American culture as you lived off what servicemen would give you since the country was devastated but there was also resentment at the bases. The war ended over 60 years ago but the bases are still there and a source of political tension to the locals who must put up with them indefinitely.
    The Emperor made a choice to preserve himself, and the Royal Household, at the cost of surrendering his mythic ';divine'; status. This helped to break the military hold on political power. Pre-war politics in Japan was a fiction, because the military together with the big corporations (zaibatsu) conspired to run the country for their mutual benefit.
    Post- war Japan was given, and adopted, a new political life, and real political parties were recognized in law. The first beneficiaries were two major political organizations that had been banned and persecuted: the Socialists and the Communists. Both played prominent roles during the Occupation of Japan, until the restoration of full Japanese sovereignty after the Peace Treaty.
    http://www.japan-zone.com/omnibus/politi鈥?/a>
    Japan was not ready to surrender and were telling their citizens lies about how they were still winning after the first bomb went off. They finally surrendered after Hiroshima and the war ended. Japan had to promise not to have armed forces when the peace treaty signed.
    I have a roof gardenI have a rabbit and wonder if its droppings are good fertilizer and if so how is the best way to go about it?
    I agree with most of the sincere answers here!
    I would how ever make a compost pile of pellets and lime and some sand and nitrogen to break down the poo a little.
    I found that bunnies in a way are the same as Cud Chewers, they do re ingest their feed and that tends to break it down better. It is less acidic. Shavings are not less acidic so if you are making one big pile...USE LIME AND SAND....A LOT!I have a rabbit and wonder if its droppings are good fertilizer and if so how is the best way to go about it?
    Put the poop in the garden or in flower pot with the dirt, stir with a hoe or gardening spade.there you are!!!
    Bunny balls are wonderful!!!! Use it to prepare the soil before planting and also as a side dressing. If you have urine soaked bedding, be a bit more careful with that as it is higher in nitrogen and can burn if used to excess or against plants.
    Only god knows
    yeppers that is good fertilizer there u have to let i sort of ur get smelly i would get a garbage can and fill them in there wait some weeks then there u go some high quility fertilizer!
    happy gardening!
    Rabbit droppings are excellent..not too 'hot' ....just spread it around the base of your plants but not against the plant. if you only have one rabbit you don't need to store it or age it ....just spread as you clean the cage. be careful of urine soaked bedding materials tho..I would separate the droppings and just use them...if you are using cedar bedding it could change the pH of the soil. We used to dispose of the bedding and just use the droppings
    Yes rabbit dung is good fertilizer. It would be best if you could mix it in a compost pile though
    yes it makes a great fretilizer, I at one time kept rabbits and we used it for our garden, there is no best way , you just clean them out and store it in a big plastic drum , I had a large garden and just pilled it up and covered it over with plastic till it was ready for use , but as your garden is different I麓m sure a drum or barrel would be fine
    basically any animal droppings is good just don't use any carnivore eating animal droppings. good rule of thumb is if they don't eat meat then it should be fine
    It is a great fertilizer, but it can be pretty strong if you use it fresh. I mix it into my compost pile and turn it twice a week. It makes awesome fertilizer after working in the compost for a few weeks...and that also cuts down on the uric acid problems because that changes dramatically when it starts to break down.
    Rabbit droppings make excellent fertilizer. As with anything use animal droppings in moderation, a cup of droppings mixed with soil will fertilize a potted plant for a couple of months.
    Hello!
    I've had a problem sort of like this before too.
    A. The problem could be... are you keeping your guinea pigs and rabbits together? If so, it's probably that rabbits and cavys' digestive systems are different, and they each need different feeds.
    Cavies need lots of vitamin C in their diet. Rabbits need lots of Fiber and vitamin A.
    B. If you're not keeping them together, another problem could be the type of vegetables you are feeding them. If you are feeding them kale, turnip greens, cauliflower, or apple cores (seeds are poisonous), just to name a few, this could be the reason.
    C. Maybe their water is often empty. I've read in LOTS of rabbit books that rabbits won't eat if they don't have any water.
    D. The rabbits might not be getting enough fiber in their diet.
    Here's what you can do, if you figure out the reason:
    A. Separate the animals and give them each the specified feed.
    B. Feed them different vegetables that are safe, like collard greens, parsley, and carrots.
    C. Check on the animals' water more often to make sure it is clean, fresh, and full.
    D. You could give the rabbits papaya tablets. The papaya tablets help the digestive system. You could also give both cavies and rabbits more hay. Timothy hay is especially helpful to the digestive system! You should give them both a large handful per day, maybe more. But I found that with lots of animals Timothy hay can get expensive, so you could buy it in bulk! It's a lot cheaper in the long term and is a much better deal!
    Here's a site you can buy it at (in bulk): http://bunnybale.com/
    Hope this helps! :)
    http://rabbitinfocenter.8m.com/feces.htm鈥?/a>Is it normal for male rabbits to do there droppings in there bed?
    hi its not all waste that comes out of a rabbits bum, they excrete pellets that are only half digested and so they eat them again and then they are waste.
    yes
    Rabbits $hit every were and if they going to have babys they will not $hit in the bed part of the cage.
    yes, its normal the food they eat sometimes dose not get digested properly so they eat it after.
    Sounds normal to me, we have a pet rabbit at the nursery where I work and it poos all over the cage, bed, food bowl... Cute tho!
    No rabbits are usually clean animals and use one corner as a toilet.Is your rabbits hutch big enough?
    yes it is perfectly normal for them to do this.
    please remember rabbits have 2 tummys thats why there always eating and are you sure its the droppings because if some of the droppings are together like grapes they eat them they have come from the 1st tummy and then re eaten to pass threw 2nd tummy. and all rabbits have there funny little ways. my suzzie pulled all her fur off making a bed for babies. even though she was a only rabbit. hope this helps take care. xx
    My male rabbit does them wherever he like, but my other male rabbit is totally house trained and goes to the toilet in a box. I guess they are all naturally different. There are ways to train them into new habbits though.
    Yep it's perfectly normal. They just do it wherever feels comfortable to them. Some do it all over their hutch, so you've got a good one!
    YES, THEY;LL SOON $HIT ON YOUR PILLOW
    We have a rabbit, had it since December 06. Oh my goodness it poops everywhere! If you watch it, nice, it poops while its eating (at the the same time etc!). They will do it anywhere and everywhere. Ours comes in the house for a run around everyday, well, you can imagine cant you!? I have to clean its hutch out every day too!! Wonderful creature!!!! We love it really. xx
    I have those huge ';water roaches'; in every cabinet in my house. Do they carry diseases? Do their droppings?
    Their droppings are what bother me the most. I find those everywhere. I don't know if it means my home is dirty or if it's common for those type of roaches to lurk around.I have those huge ';water roaches'; in every cabinet in my house. Do they carry diseases? Do their droppings?
    In my area (Florida) they are called Palmettos and yes the can be huge and ugly. It is a definite sign that you have some humidity and/or water leaks problems in your house, commonly those bugs are coming from the plumbing and under the house and usually you will find them dead in the middle of a room.
    You've got to find where is the problem, fix the leaks and treat the outside and inside of your house.I have those huge ';water roaches'; in every cabinet in my house. Do they carry diseases? Do their droppings?
    Yes to both questions. If it is your home you need to exterminate to get rid of them and them clean every inch of where they've been. If it's a rental contact your landlord. He has to provide services to exterminate.
    Call the exterminators! They are cockroaches disease on legs!
    It's not a chemical, it's a roundworm called Toxocara canis.
    How do you remove stubborn bird droppings from your car's paint after they have left a definite mark?
    Wash the car thoroughly, dry good, then use some polishing compound...in fact, you may want to power buff the whole car with a low speed orbital buffer...then hand wax with a quality wax...How do you remove stubborn bird droppings from your car's paint after they have left a definite mark?
    Soap and water, then white vinegar..... give it a try.How do you remove stubborn bird droppings from your car's paint after they have left a definite mark?
    the mark would be etching from the acid in the bird droppings. clay is for removal of contaminates so this will do nothing to help the etching as the clear coat comprimised from the acid and actually eaten into the clear coat. you only option to get rid of it is polish. and not a cleaner wax but a polish with diminishing abrasives so it doesn't leave a haze that has to be polished out as well. i would look around the net and find a decently priced non over the counter polish(turtle wax etc.). and remember you get what you pay for. also an elctric orbital buffer would help tremendously.
    You might try a clay bar treatment. (Mothers)
    best stuff i found was turtle wax rubbing compound that stuff works miracles.just take a clean towel and apply it to the spot then rub rub rub.till its gone.
    cut polish
    How do i stop my Labrador from eating its droppings?
    The reason that she is doing this is because a lot of animals don't digest completely all the minerals and nutrients the first time around, it's very common. In essence it's the same principle as what a cow does, except that instead of chewing their cud they eat their feces. I would try vitamins first before you get anything that might detract her from eating her feces because she might be deficient, if the vitamins don't work and she continues this behavior then I would consult a vet, it might be something more serious or it might be that you need to put in a product that will make them unappealing.
    Good Luck :)How do i stop my Labrador from eating its droppings?
    you eat before he eatHow do i stop my Labrador from eating its droppings?
    I would ask your Vet...... I used to work for a Vet and I saw this behavior with dogs that were very bored....
    stir crazy board.
    I would make sure that your dog is walked every day.
    And ask you vet!
    Add a small amount of crushed pineapple to your dog's food. That usually works!
    Animals will eat their own feces for a lot of reasons, but the most common is a dietary imbalance. Try putting her on vitamins, and take a look at the food you're feeding. A Lab is made to be an active dog, and if she's very active and fit, you may want to put her on a high-protein food, if you aren't already feeding one. As someone else noted, there are supplements you can get to make the feces less appetizing, and you may want to try that, but I'd try adjusting her diet first. Also, if she is not very active, you might try boosting her activity level. Get her out for daily walks or go to a dog park or anywhere she can really stretch out and burn some energy.
    Change its food! Dogs only do this if they are missing important nutrients. All of the brand name dog foods have cornmeal in the first 5 ingredients. Cornmeal has absolutely no nutritional value to a dog it's just cheap filler. You don't have to spend a ton of money to get your dog good food. Costco/Kirkland brand chicken and rice dog food has no cornmeal, additives or preservatives, and it's only $18 for a 40 pound bag.
    I had this problem with a german shepard once. I put her on vitamins and she stopped.
    They make a product that you feed your dog and it makes its droppings unappetizing
    pick up after your dog.
    Try Forbid, it works. Google it.
    I think I have a mouse or rat in my car. I found droppings in the floor. How do I get rid of it?
    Most likely it is a mouse. The length of the droppings would be about the size of a grain of rice.
    Try using a sticky trap and put a bit of cheese in the middle. A spring trap could cause bleeding on the carpet.I think I have a mouse or rat in my car. I found droppings in the floor. How do I get rid of it?
    I had this problem before, and heres what I did.
    I went on a trip to Taiwan and a buddy who spose to take care of my car and drive it once in a while never did. So for like five months it just sat outside collecting dust. And some furry animals desided to make it their home.
    So anyhow I parked my car out back near the leave burning pit and I opened all the door and windows. I burned some leaves along with wet leaves to create smoke and I smoked the critters out.
    My car became rat free and week later the smoke smell was gone too.
    Word of caution, don't put your car too close to the fire and don't put the fire anywhere near the fuel tank of the car.
    And its better than rat poison cuz it may die somewhere you can't get to and you'd be driving around in one funky car.I think I have a mouse or rat in my car. I found droppings in the floor. How do I get rid of it?
    eliminate any food source. vacuum up any crumbs, throw out any food wrappers, etc. they have hav- a-hart traps which catch them so u can take them down the street to the woods somewhere instead of killing them. check them %26amp; make sure theyre closed when not in use. if u just kill them which is inhumane and unecessary, others may still keep coming back. if u find any nesting material place it somewhere far from the car where u would prefer they go. somewhere sheltered cuz the reason they get in the car is for warmth.
    usually strong scents such as cayenne pepper, moth balls, or peppermint extract will work because they hate the smell. a new product called fresh cab works too and it's all-natural %26amp; smells nice to humans which is preferable. see links below.
    if u look where a past person asked a similar question %26amp; i answered-- the scents are working for him.
    I've had great success with this trap in my house and you could easily use it in your car:
    http://veganstore.com/index.html?stocknu鈥?/a>
    I've caught over ten mice with it so far. Or, you can try making the free homemade humane trap described here:
    http://www.helpinganimals.com/wildlife_l鈥?/a>
    The website above also has a recipe for homemade mice repellent.
    If you do try to live trap the mouse, please be sure to check your trap several times a day and release the mouse promptly, approximately a mile away from your home. It is much more cruel to allow a mouse in a live trap to slowly starve to death than to kill it quickly with a snap trap. Also,if it's cold where you are, put a little bedding (paper towels or cotton balls) inside the trap so the mouse won't freeze to death during the night. When you release the mouse, do it in an area with some sheltering bushes or plants. If you are a kind person, you might also leave a little bird seed or oatmeal for them.
    The absolute cruelest traps are glue traps. Please don't use them. Mice have been known to gnaw off their own limbs and tear off their skin in an effort to escape, as they starve or dehydrate to death or suffocate in the glue. Poison isn't any better, as the mice die slowly and painfully from internal bleeding. It can take up to a week for them to die, and they may do so inside your car frame or engine where you can't get to them. Dead mice don't smell very good.
    Good luck!
    Use D-Con. Which is rat poison. It will keep them out. This poison is a solid that comes in a little box and will be clean for a car.
    put a trap on a big piece of newspaper and bait it with something like peanut butter.
    do not use poison because you do not want the mouse to climb up behind the dashboard and die there where it is hard to find or get out.
    Sticky traps make less of a mess, spring traps kill instantly. Make sure you vacuum out your car once you've caught it and it would be advisable to wear a dust mask due to the possibility of Hunta Virus.
    Use rat poison
    Glue traps are the best method to trap rats and mice.
    What is normal for snake droppings?
    My sister recently noticed that our corn snake's droppings are runny with red streaks in it (it has white in it as well), and we were wondering if this is normal or a sign that it's sick.What is normal for snake droppings?
    eww dont ask that thats digustingWhat is normal for snake droppings?
    Abnormal feces is always a sign for concern. Diarrhea plus blood (that's what I'm guessing the red streaks are) is most certainly not a good thing. (The white are urates, a snake's form of urine, which is nothing to worry about.) The first thing that always jumps to mind is a parasitic infection. Depending on the type of parasites and the severity, they can cause serious problems. Luckily, fecal tests are fairly inexpensive. Take a fresh sample of the feces and drop it off at a vet clinic. If there are parasites, talk to your vet about treatment; there are many different options. If not, I suggest a vet trip anyways to test what might be going on in there.
    Hope s/he's okay! Good luck!
    Hi Jill,
    this is normal for a corn snake, especially young corn snakes. They have runny droppings with pinky stuff.
    gross i know but what can you do ?!!
    My water fountain always visited by birds and have their droppings on it. What will ido?
    there is nothing you can do...My water fountain always visited by birds and have their droppings on it. What will ido?
    you should just clean it out when you have a chance.My water fountain always visited by birds and have their droppings on it. What will ido?
    With every animal, keeping a dish with water filled in it, won't stay clean for long! Droopings, bedding, dust... EVERYTHING, will get into the water! That's why it must be cleaned out once in the morning, and once at night! If it seems like your birds aren't using the fountain, I would recommend that you give them a ';shower'; instead of a ';bath.'; By giving your bird a shower, I mean, spraying them down twice a day, which keeps their feathers looking very nice!
    I hope that I helped! Thanks,
    ~ Cockatiel Lover!
    pretty simple just clean it ith a bit of detergent and bleach is good as it will kill germs....then rinse after
    First of all it is really good that you are providing a water source for your local wild bird population. In order that your fountain not become a vector for communicable diseases which can affect the birds that visit it, be sure to empty it out regularly and scrub with a dilute bleach solution (1-2%). Rinse it well afterwards and do not use dish soap as it is much harder to get out.
    If it is out side, clean it once in a while. If it is inside, clean it daily. Yet if the birds are using it they will leave dropping everywhere, they don't have a specific location to use it! So just clean it off. Spray it down or scrub it with some dawn dish liquid and rinse well, also a plus with the dish soap is it will leave the grass around it very green and bright! Good luck with the fountain!
    Rinse the fountain with the hose when it gets dirty and accept the fact that where there are birds, there are droppings.
    Disinfect keyboard from mice droppings?
    I woke up this morning and found mice droppings on my keyboard. I picked em up with gloves and paper towels, and i sprayed disinfectant on the keyboard. Im letting it sit for 10 minutes to dry, is that enough to clean the keyboard of the germs?
    Thank you.
    (And no im not using the keyboard question was asked off a diff comp)Disinfect keyboard from mice droppings?
    use a mixtureof boric powder and fitkari or alum dissolved in water, it works.it keeps mice away too!
    keep a cat too :DDisinfect keyboard from mice droppings?
    I like the ideas of taking the keyboard apart and cleaning, also using the clorox disinfectant wipes. You also need to make sure you get the desk cleaned real well.
    As for the mouse problem. We had the same issue a few years ago and we wound up putting peanut butter on the mouse traps and it worked quite well, infact we thought there was only 1-2 mice, and I am not joking when I say that we caught 7 mice in one day! Apparently we had a little mouse party at our house. Anyway, the idea is to get something that they can't carry off real fast, you need somehting sticky that will temp them to stay and eat on it. I've also heard of cheese whiz. Just remember even if you catch one, don't just assume the problem is taken care of.
    You have had plenty of advice on sterilising your keyboard. Remember to do that to the desk as well. What advice I would like to give is how to get rid of your mouse. My Mum had mice once in her built in pantry (we discovered they were coming in through a broken ventilation grille). We set traps and no luck, then instead of putting cheese in the traps we put some chocolate (Cadbury's as it happened) and viola - dead mouse. They like sweet things, sugar will work too as we did that the second day and caught another one.
    Every six months I take my keyboard apart.. One letter at a time... and I give em a soak.. In a mild dishsoap/water.. Dry them and replace them...
    Or you can get a cotton swab and rub a bit of alcohol on the keypads.. Just don't get it too wet or the keyboard won't work....
    I've also used disenfectant wipes...
    I think you should be ok...
    That should do it. The keybd should work as long as you didn't get it _too_ wet with the disinfectant.
    You make is sound like it's normal to have mice running about the place sh*tting on your stuff, do you live in a dumpster?
    WHAT? wow, do you have many mice there?
    Well I'd say do that, but also use those clorox bleach disinfectant wipes....
    try putting peanut butter in your traps.
    What will remove oil droppings from macadam driveways?
    Is there an EXCELLENT product that will lift out oil spots on macadam -or - is there a homemade concoction that will eliminate these spots?What will remove oil droppings from macadam driveways?
    Dish soap (DAWN) with warm water may work. Try it on a small part first to test it.
    GOOD LUCK.
    This is kind of a stupid question, but i was cleaning out my recipe box and found a few mice droppings?
    but mostly urine stains on my some of my papers but not sure if others that were in there got peed on too, i havent been in there for quiet awhile so i was just wondering what i should doThis is kind of a stupid question, but i was cleaning out my recipe box and found a few mice droppings?
    I would put on latex gloves and take out the recipes I wanted to keep and retype them, or rewrite them onto clean pieces of paper, or even more likely type them into computer files (using a word processing program) and save them that way. Then I'd discard the dirty recipe box.This is kind of a stupid question, but i was cleaning out my recipe box and found a few mice droppings?
    Throw everything out!!!! Mice carry harmful diseases..mouse droppings can carry the hantavirus. Use rubber gloves and place cards into a plastic baggie. If you need to recopy them always use gloves and protect the surface you place the cards on. Replace the card box too. You have a smart mouse who likes to read...lol
    Well the very first thing you should do, before worrying about your recipes, you need to stop the mice at the source. Rid them of your kitchen, because that in itself is unsanitary. After they are gone,copy your recipes on another piece of paper and discard the old recipes and including the box. Wash hands well and clean all of kitchen with major disinfectant. Good luck you, you have a large job ahead of you.
    yuke.... the only thing i can say is copy the recipes down and throw the orginals away. that would be the best thing to do cuz if you think about it when you use the recipes, you'll be handling your food and it may get contaminated. plus, rat pee is a scent that never goes away unless you throw out what the pee is on. and about the rat poop, it can really be harmful to inhael if dust settles on it. i heard of this lady that died from vaccuming up rat poop with her vac. they say that once dust settles on it, it can cause some kind of harmful fumes.
    hope this helps....
    Does anyone know what to put in a bird cage to catch droppings,told not to use cedar shavings.?
    I am getting a cockatiel and have a really kewl cage,just want to put the right stuff in it for him. Thanks in advance for all your helpDoes anyone know what to put in a bird cage to catch droppings,told not to use cedar shavings.?
    I use newspaper..........%26amp; more info.:
    http://theaviary.com/cockcare.shtmlDoes anyone know what to put in a bird cage to catch droppings,told not to use cedar shavings.?
    you can use newpaper on the bottom of the cage but ONLY the black and white not the Color. The black ink is made out of soy and it NOT toxic to your bird. Colored ink is toxic.
    I prefer to use walnut shell, they now sell this at Walmart for a decent price. You can just get a small hand held spoon type sifter from housewares and use that to sift out poo and other things in the litter. It isnt toxic if they happen to eat any of it and it doesnt grow mold in it like other things do. I usually can sift this for about a week, it would probably last longer but I clean all my cages completely once a week so I just dump it. It looks nice, and no odor.
    No wood shavings, no compressed pellets, no color paper.
    Most cockatiel cages have a wire floor. I would not suggest putting anything on the bottom. They will work on trying to get it into their beak and it usually isn't good for them. The one thing I used in a huge cage was alfalfa hay. They enjoyed it, but needed to be changed daily for health. The stores in our pet stores were sprayed with Pam the non stick cooking spray. When they pooped, it didn't stick. It was easy to rinse the cages clean every week. Be sure to spray in a room other than where the bird is living.
    Newspaper is printed with carbon which is toxic.
    No wood shavings cause birds might eat them. Newspaper is the best especially when you leaven some hanging off the edge of the cage so that you can just drag it out of the side to switch it out.
    most use newspaper
    Newspaper is generally regarded as the best liner for cage bottoms. The ink(both black and colored) is nontoxic. If you use newspaper, you can monitor your bird's poop. Abnormal poop is often one of the first signs that a bird is sick. You can easily remove the dirty paper and replace it with clean daily to reduce the chance of bacteria growing in the moist droppings and food. The other big plus is that it is free!
    Are you aware that the most expensive coffee comes from a cats droppings?
    This came up in a discussion I was allowed to witness. It seems there is a rare form of a cat that smells like a skunk in a foreign country that eats coffee beans at a certain maturity time and it's digestive system allows these beans to be processed to a point that they are chosen as the richest source for coffee, like $300 a pound.Are you aware that the most expensive coffee comes from a cats droppings?
    Kopi Luwak does exist, is very expensive, and is made from coffee beans passed through the digestive system of an Indonesian animal, but it's more like a cat than a monkey. According to a feature article by the Manila Coffee House, which sells the stuff, the people who harvest the digested beans don't really have to pick through cat litter to get it. The animal processes the beans and excretes them whole, unscratched, and without dung.
    The animal is a palm civet, a dark brown tree-dwelling cat-like creature found throughout Southeast Asia. The scientific name is paradoxurus hermaphroditus.Are you aware that the most expensive coffee comes from a cats droppings?
    americans get most of their antioxidants from coffee.
    I'm glad I don't like coffee
    Yes, but the price of that particular coffee isn't going to be of much concern to me. I'm happy enough with Maxwell House.
    My son told me something like this. Yuk, unbelievable!
    If the Price is not enough of a turn off, this info is certainly going to do it for many. I do have an occasional cup.... and since it is not of any benefit for ones health, I can easily do without it. For that price I would not want it to stain my teeth !
    Yes, I knew that. Thanks for the points.
    Yes, but I think a better question would be:
    Would you drink the said coffee ?
    and a follow up being:
    Why is no one capitilizing on this. Definitely could see a farm of stinky cats mass producing poop coffee for insane profit.
    My 2 labradors eat the rabbit droppings from the garden. How can I stop them, short of putting up more fence.
    I wouldn't worry too much about it. Rabbits eat their own droppings to fully absorb the nutrients from them, and as rabbits are vegetarians anyway, there won't be anything harmful in the droppings. Besides, I've known dogs eat a lot worse things!!My 2 labradors eat the rabbit droppings from the garden. How can I stop them, short of putting up more fence.
    putting up a fence would be your only option. You shouldn't be to concerned its not going to harm them. Dogs will often eat grass and vegetable projucts of their own accord as it helps their digestion. When rabbits eat they do not fully absorbe and digest all the plant matter they eat, rabbit dropping (no matter how disgusting it seems) are not fully digetsted and so eating them can help a dogs digestion. I had a similar problem when I would take my dog jess out she always seemed to try and eat horse poo, I spoke to my friend who is a vet and she explained, sounds to me like a very similar thing.
    long and the short of it put a fence up or clean up the droppings first.My 2 labradors eat the rabbit droppings from the garden. How can I stop them, short of putting up more fence.
    They suffer from the deficiency of calcium. Give them calcium. Have a check up done if by any chance they have worms.
    It's alright, it's gross (though not as gross as some of the other kinds of poos dogs eat), but rabbit droppings are good to eat, rabbits eat their own droppings because it takes a few passings for them to get the full nutrition, and it's really quite normal for dogs to eat rabbit poos.
    You should just let them because i have two pomeranians and they eat there own poop and they dont throw up so thats what i say
    most dogs do that if its not poo it will be something else I dont think you can stop them. my lab eats cow pat and horses i just try and keep himaway from them places. labs seem never to be full
    I have two labs,,,they eat anything, horse manure, rabbit droppings, goose droppings....if they don't vomit, then let them, you aren't eating it are you....they wouldn't eat it if they didn't like the taste...didn't anyone tell you labs are pigs........
    give the dogs lots of lettuce and carrotts then they will get sick of eating the same s**T
    Ugh, my lab eats his own poo all winter. We call them ';poopsicles';. We try to watch him, but he is so sneaky! He throws them up on the floor...it is poop vomit - how gross is that?
    I have no answer for you, just understanding. :)
    How is a hygienic way of picking up dog droppings?
    i have to prove to my parents that i can pick up the dogs dropings before i can get a dogHow is a hygienic way of picking up dog droppings?
    use a plastic bag which should be supplied at dog parks and put your hand inside. grab the poop and turn the bag inside out.How is a hygienic way of picking up dog droppings?
    I use those plastic bags that are used at the market for groceries. I used 1 to pick up and the other to put the poop in it. They work fine and I don't have to spend money on bags. :) I mean for what...all I'm using them is to pick up POOP!!!
    you get a pooper scoooper. Or a shovel and bucket and then put it in a plastic bag,tie it and throw it in the bin
    buy a pooper scooper.. use it to pick up the poop and scoop it into a trash bag.
    You can use a baggie, put i over your hand, pick up the poop, and turn the bag inside out over the doodie.. tie it up and toss it.
    However you do it.. wash your hands with soap and water afterwards.
    I hate using pooper scoopers, I find them very messy.
    As gross as this may sound, I use latex hospital gloves and a plastic trash bag. Put on a glove, pick up some poop, roll the glove over your hand and the poop and toss it in the trash bad. Repeat as necessary. Walk it out to the main trashcan.
    use a scooper or a gloved hand
    Wish all the questions were this easy. You can use a ';pooper scooper'; purchased at Walmart or local pet store. Or you can use plastic baggies. Either way, deposit it in a small bucket with a liner and a lid (kept outside of course); and empty it faithfully as often as possible. Prove that you can be a responsible owner and you will probably have that dog in no time. You should also promise to take your new dog to an obedience class so that he can be a well-behaved member of your family.
    It takes a little more than faithfully picking up after your dog. If you really want to score points, do some volunteer work at your local shelter if possible. You will learn a lot about dogs and how to care for them. Research the breeds you like and be informed on their particular health concerns and personalities. Go to: www.AKC.org and learn all you can. If your parents think you are really serious about doing a good job, I'm sure they will take that into consideration. Good luck.
    A good way is to put a ziploc bag on your hand, grap the poop (i know, its gross) and then turn the bag inside out and seal it up.
