What creature makes tiny round pellet and disc or saucer shaped droppings and leaves them in fairly large pile

Found two piles of these under the quilt in our cabin today. Can't figure out what it could possible be. Have found the same thing before in the bottom of a box. wondering what we are sharing living quarters with. What creature makes tiny round pellet and disc or saucer shaped droppings and leaves them in fairly large pile
I caution you to be careful when you handle these droppings if they are dry and can become dusty. You want to watch out for four corners disease (Hantavirus).

The shapes that you described would leave me to believ that it was either rabbits, squirrels, or chipmunks. Mice droppings are usually elongated and not round or dics shaped.
