Have they made friends. How do I stop this relationship?Ok I have found mouse droppings in my kitchen. I have a cat, why has she not caught the mouse?
They have made a pact. The mouse said to the cat when he was cornered, ';If I live then D will keep feeding you to make sure you're fit and healthy enough to catch me. You turn a blind eye when I'm nicking the cheese and hey! we both win';.Ok I have found mouse droppings in my kitchen. I have a cat, why has she not caught the mouse?
lol. Your cat is confused about its sexuality and has formed a dodgy relationship with the mouse. It obviously needs aversion therapy to make it hate meeces again. Get a toy mouse and worry the cat with it until it loses the plot and rips the mouse to shreds.
stick the cat infront of tom an jerry for a couple of hours
or.............itchy an scratchy ( this maybe a little too extreme if you dont want your catchen blown up or your cat...)
Maybe the mouse is sick and your cat can smell that. Maybe she's avoiding the mouse so she doesn't get some disease that spreads between species (zoonoses) like rabies.
Probably because there is more than 1...They have babies and lots of them! get some mouse kill like d-con and they look like little cheese wedge boxes and the mice/rats eat them and die, Its sad but better for you not to get ill from there urine etc.. Put them in closets, under the kitchen cupboards, anywhere but where a child or pet can get to them. Good Luck.
You shouldn't stand between true friendship! Especially at this time of the year. Put out some Christmas cheese for the mouse.
Give your cat more time. She will do you proud. Somethings just take a little more time than others.
Cats these days are usually too lazy and well fed to chase mice.Ifound one of those gadgets you plug in to a point work very well.Good luck with ridding your kitchen of the pest.
Mice are clever and they often get into places cats can't. Put fabric softener sheets in areas were your cats can't get and give your cat some time to catch him. Plus some cats are just not mousers.
I have this problem to and I have four cats.
You're probably feeding your cat too much. If it's not hungry it won't hunt. Some cats are mousers and some are not. Put down a few traps and I'll give you a tip-- Bait the traps with peanut butter, the mice cannot resist it.
Time to swap the cat for some traps. Why have a cat if it can't catch mice?
... It sounds like it D.
Trouble being I expect you have more than one!
Mice seem to seek shelter this time of year.
clean your house
I envisage a bizarre version of Tom and Jerry going on when you are out
not all cats like to catch mice. I would call an exterminator.
Don't feed the cat. If she gets hungry . . . goodbye mouse!!
At the barn where I board my horses, we see plenty of mice.
The barn cats don't do anything about them. They just watch them run around. Occasionally the female will catch mice for her kittens, they just play with them. But the real mouse catcher is the dog. =P
Some cats just aren't 'mousers' as we call them in Minnesota.
you have a scaredy cat
lol they are probably having a cat and mouse game..
The cat may have brought the mouse into the house alive. They like to play with them before they kill them.
