you know alot of cats are different. i have one that is a real digger and another that just is so lazy. and its funny cause her name is canada and well she stinks like a can...perfect name.
sometimes theres just no answer. cats are very stubborn and well do there own thing. she does the same thing and good thing i have my digger cause Sushi will not leave the box until every thing is coverd.
you can try helping him paw it. but mostly since its young it might learn from the other cat.
if the smell is whats getting to you, BAKING SODA. THATS STUFF COVERS GREAT. AND ITS CHEAP.
but it will eventally cover a little bit of it. oh another thing is to add more litter in it. less litter makes them not want to cover it.
sometimesHow can i get my kitten to cover up its droppings in the litter box?
If you figure it out please let me know! My 3 yr old still won't so the other cat goes in and does it for him! P.U.
I have a cat that's about 4, got her from a rescue a year and a half ago and that is one thing she has never learned to do. I always thought that was instinctual for cats as we've always had them when I was growing up, but apparently not!
That's difficult and sometimes just not possible. But the other cat being there should help. Cats bury their waste so other animals can't find them, so having 2 cats will probably help. I had a single cat that had a problem with this so I just got a litter box with a lid so I didn't have to look at it. Right now though, I have one of those self cleaning litter boxes so it really doesn't matter. Anyway, good luck.
i dont think you can do that... if the other cat sets a good example then i suppose the new one would do that... why would it be necessary for a cat to do that?
The adult may teach him.
take his paws after he's pooped and show him with his paws what to do then praise him.
you will have to show it how to do it
